Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a British author and physician, best known for creating the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes. Born on May 22, 1859, in Edinburgh, Scotland, he studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh. His fascination with crime and deduction led him to write stories that captivated readers around the world.
Doyle's first Sherlock Holmes story, A Study in Scarlet, was published in 1887. He went on to write three more novels and numerous short stories featuring the famous detective and his friend, Dr. John Watson. Beyond Holmes, Doyle also wrote historical novels, science fiction, and plays, showcasing his diverse literary talent.
