Single-A
Single-A is a level of minor league baseball that serves as a developmental stage for players. It is typically the first step for young athletes after they are drafted or signed by a Major League Baseball MLB team. Single-A teams are often affiliated with MLB franchises and focus on player development, skill enhancement, and gaining experience in competitive games.
In Single-A, players usually range from recent high school graduates to college players. The competition is less intense than in higher levels like Double-A or Triple-A, allowing players to refine their skills and prepare for advancement. Success in Single-A can lead to promotions to higher minor league levels and, ultimately, the MLB.
