Singing Ringing Tree
The Singing Ringing Tree is a unique musical sculpture located in Burnley, England. Designed by artists Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu, it was completed in 2006. The structure is made of galvanized steel pipes that create sound when the wind blows through them, producing a haunting melody.
This installation stands on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The design is inspired by the concept of a tree, with the pipes resembling branches. The Singing Ringing Tree is part of the Panopticon project, which aims to create a series of landmark sculptures in East Lancashire.
