Silvertip shark
The Silvertip shark, scientifically known as *Carcharhinus albimarginatus*, is a species of requiem shark found in tropical and subtropical waters. It is characterized by its slender body, pointed snout, and distinctive white tips on its fins, which give it its name. Silvertip sharks typically inhabit coral reefs and are often seen in shallow waters, making them a common sight for divers.
These sharks can grow up to 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) in length and are known for their agile swimming. They primarily feed on small fish and invertebrates, playing an important role in maintaining the balance of their marine ecosystem. Silvertip sharks are also of interest to researchers studying marine biology and shark conservation.
