Silver Halides
Silver halides are chemical compounds formed from silver and halogen elements, such as chlorine, bromine, or iodine. They are typically used in photography and imaging because they are sensitive to light. When exposed to light, silver halides undergo a chemical change that allows them to capture images.
These compounds are often found in the form of silver chloride (AgCl), silver bromide (AgBr), and silver iodide (AgI). In addition to photography, silver halides have applications in medical imaging and antimicrobial treatments due to their unique properties.
