Sikh tradition
The Sikh tradition is rooted in the teachings of Guru Nanak, the first of ten Sikh Gurus, who emphasized the importance of equality, community service, and devotion to one God. Sikhs follow the Guru Granth Sahib, their holy scripture, which contains hymns and teachings that guide their spiritual and daily lives.
Central to Sikh practice is the concept of Seva, or selfless service, which encourages individuals to help others without expecting anything in return. The Gurdwara, or Sikh place of worship, serves as a community hub where people gather for prayer, learning, and sharing meals, known as Langar, promoting inclusivity and unity.
