Sikh principles
Sikh principles are rooted in the teachings of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, and emphasize the importance of living a truthful and honest life. Central to these principles are the concepts of Seva (selfless service), Simran (remembrance of God), and Sangat (community). Sikhs believe in equality, rejecting discrimination based on caste, gender, or religion, and promoting social justice.
Another key principle is the belief in one God, who is formless and eternal. Sikhs follow the teachings found in the Guru Granth Sahib, their holy scripture, which guides their spiritual and moral conduct. The practice of Langar, a communal meal served to all, exemplifies the values of sharing and community service.
