Siege of Bexar
The Siege of Bexar took place from October to December 1835 during the Texas Revolution. Texian forces aimed to capture the Mexican-held city of San Antonio de Béxar, which was a strategic location. The siege involved a series of skirmishes and blockades, ultimately leading to the Texians gaining control over the city.
On December 5, 1835, the Texian army launched a final assault, resulting in the surrender of the Mexican garrison led by General Martín Perfecto de Cos. This victory boosted Texian morale and marked a significant step toward Texas independence from Mexico.
