Siberian Yupik
The Siberian Yupik are an indigenous people living primarily in the Chukotka region of Russia. They traditionally rely on hunting, fishing, and gathering for their subsistence, with a strong cultural connection to the Arctic environment. Their language, also called Siberian Yupik, is part of the Eskimo-Aleut language family and is distinct from Alaskan Yupik.
Siberian Yupik culture includes unique practices such as traditional storytelling, music, and dance. They celebrate various festivals that reflect their connection to nature and community. Today, efforts are being made to preserve their language and cultural heritage in the face of modernization.
