Shenmue
Shenmue is an action-adventure video game series created by Yu Suzuki and developed by Sega. The first game was released in 1999 for the Sega Dreamcast and is known for its open-world gameplay, detailed environments, and a blend of martial arts combat and exploration. The story follows Ryo Hazuki, a young man seeking revenge for his father's murder in 1980s Japan.
The series is notable for its innovative use of real-time weather and day-night cycles, as well as its focus on narrative and character development. Shenmue II followed in 2001, expanding the story and gameplay mechanics. After a long hiatus, Shenmue III was released in 2019, continuing Ryo's journey.
