Shea Stadium
Shea Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, New York City. Opened in 1964, it served as the home for the New York Mets baseball team and the New York Jets football team. The stadium was known for its distinctive blue and orange colors, reflecting the Mets' team colors.
The stadium had a seating capacity of approximately 57,000 and hosted various events, including concerts and college football games. It was closed in 2008 and demolished in 2009, making way for the Citi Field, the current home of the Mets.
