Shastriji Maharaj
Shastriji Maharaj, born in 1865 as Shastri Yagnapurushdas, was a prominent Hindu saint and the founder of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. He dedicated his life to the teachings of Swaminarayan and worked to spread his philosophy, emphasizing devotion, morality, and community service.
He is best known for constructing several temples, including the famous Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. His efforts helped preserve and promote the Swaminarayan tradition, and he inspired many followers to lead a life of spirituality and service. Shastriji Maharaj passed away in 1951, leaving a lasting legacy.
