Shangani History
The Shangani people are an ethnic group primarily found in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. They are known for their rich cultural heritage and history, which includes traditional practices, languages, and social structures. The Shangani have historically engaged in agriculture, hunting, and gathering, adapting to their environment over generations.
During the late 19th century, the Shangani faced significant challenges due to colonial expansion and conflicts, particularly during the Second Matabele War. This period saw the loss of land and autonomy, impacting their way of life. Despite these challenges, the Shangani continue to preserve their cultural identity and traditions today.
