Serous Cysts
Serous cysts are fluid-filled sacs that typically develop in the ovaries or pancreas. They are usually benign, meaning they are not cancerous, and often do not cause any symptoms. These cysts can vary in size and may be discovered incidentally during imaging tests for other conditions.
In the ovaries, serous cysts are often part of a group called serous cystadenomas, which are common in women of reproductive age. In the pancreas, serous cysts can be associated with conditions like serous cystadenoma, which is also generally non-cancerous. Regular monitoring may be recommended to ensure they do not change in size or appearance.
