Serous Cystadenomas
Serous cystadenomas are benign tumors that typically develop in the ovaries. They are filled with a clear, watery fluid and are often characterized by a smooth outer surface. These tumors are most commonly found in women of reproductive age and can vary in size.
Although serous cystadenomas are usually asymptomatic, they may sometimes cause abdominal discomfort or pressure. Diagnosis is often made through imaging techniques like ultrasound or CT scans. Treatment usually involves surgical removal, especially if the tumor is large or causing symptoms, to ensure it does not develop into a more serious condition.
