Sergiu Celibidache
Sergiu Celibidache was a Romanian conductor and composer, born on June 28, 1912, in Roman, Romania. He is best known for his work with major orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Munich Philharmonic. Celibidache was renowned for his unique interpretations of classical music and his emphasis on the spiritual aspects of performance.
Celibidache studied music at the University of Bucharest and later in Paris. He was also a teacher, influencing many young musicians through his philosophy of music. His career spanned several decades, and he passed away on August 14, 1996, in Germany.
