Sercial
Sercial is a type of white wine produced primarily in the Madeira region of Portugal. It is known for its dry and crisp flavor profile, often featuring notes of citrus, almonds, and minerals. Sercial grapes thrive in the island's volcanic soil and are typically harvested late in the season, which contributes to their unique taste.
This wine is often enjoyed as an aperitif and pairs well with seafood and light dishes. Due to its high acidity, Sercial can also age well, developing more complex flavors over time. It is one of the four main grape varieties used in the production of Madeira wine.
