Senate of Kazakhstan
The Senate of Kazakhstan is the upper house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, responsible for reviewing legislation and representing the interests of regions. It consists of 47 members, with 15 appointed by the President of Kazakhstan and the remaining 32 elected by local assemblies.
Senators serve a term of six years, with half of the members renewed every three years. The Senate plays a crucial role in the legislative process, including approving laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the activities of the Government of Kazakhstan.
