Secular Student Alliance
The Secular Student Alliance (SSA) is a national organization that supports non-religious students on college and university campuses across the United States. Founded in 2000, the SSA aims to promote secularism, critical thinking, and the separation of church and state. It provides resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for students who identify as atheists, agnostics, or secular humanists.
The SSA also encourages the formation of student groups that foster a sense of community among non-religious individuals. Through events, educational programs, and outreach initiatives, the organization seeks to raise awareness about secular issues and empower students to engage in discussions about religion and belief systems in a respectful manner.
