Secretariat of Public Education
The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) is a government agency in Mexico responsible for overseeing the country's public education system. Established in 1921, its primary role is to formulate educational policies, manage public schools, and ensure access to quality education for all students. The SEP also coordinates with state governments to implement educational programs and reforms.
In addition to managing primary and secondary education, the SEP is involved in higher education and vocational training. It works to improve educational standards, promote teacher training, and develop curricula that meet the needs of a diverse population. The SEP plays a crucial role in shaping the future of education in Mexico.
