Second Professional Football League
The Second Professional Football League (often abbreviated as Second PFL) is a football league in Bulgaria that operates as the second tier of the country's football system. It was established in 2016, replacing the former Bulgaria B Football Group. The league features clubs that compete for promotion to the top division, known as the First Professional Football League.
Teams in the Second PFL play a crucial role in developing local talent and providing competitive opportunities for players. The league typically consists of around 16 teams, with each season culminating in a series of matches that determine which teams will advance to the higher division and which may face relegation.
