Second Lieutenant
A Second Lieutenant is the entry-level rank for commissioned officers in many military organizations, including the United States Army and Air Force. This rank typically follows the completion of officer training programs, such as the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) or military academies. Second Lieutenants often lead small units and are responsible for training and managing enlisted personnel.
In terms of responsibilities, Second Lieutenants may serve in various roles, including planning missions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the welfare of their troops. They usually report to higher-ranking officers, such as First Lieutenants or Captains, as they gain experience and work towards promotions.
