Sebastian S. Kresge
Sebastian S. Kresge was an American businessman and philanthropist, best known for founding the Kresge Foundation in 1924. He was born on July 4, 1867, in Mason, Michigan, and became a successful entrepreneur by establishing the Kresge Company, which operated a chain of discount stores. His innovative retail strategies contributed to the growth of the five-and-dime store concept.
