Seal Script
Seal Script is an ancient form of Chinese writing that originated during the Qin Dynasty around 221-206 BCE. It is characterized by its intricate and stylized characters, which were often used for inscriptions on seals, hence the name. Seal Script played a significant role in the development of Chinese calligraphy and is considered one of the earliest forms of standardized writing in China.
Over time, Seal Script evolved into various styles, including Large Seal Script and Small Seal Script. While it is not commonly used for everyday writing today, Seal Script remains important in the study of Chinese history and culture, as well as in the art of calligraphy.
