Sea Snakes
Sea snakes are a group of marine reptiles found primarily in warm coastal waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. They are known for their elongated bodies and paddle-like tails, which help them swim efficiently. Most species are highly adapted to life in the water, with some being able to hold their breath for several hours.
These snakes are generally non-aggressive and feed mainly on fish and eels. While many sea snakes are venomous, their bites are rare due to their preference for avoiding humans. They play an important role in marine ecosystems by helping to control fish populations.
