Scooter Libby
Scooter Libby, born in 1950, is an American attorney and former government official. He served as Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney during the administration of President George W. Bush. Libby gained national attention in 2003 when he was implicated in the leak of the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame.
In 2007, Libby was convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice related to the investigation into the leak. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison but had his sentence commuted by President Bush in 2007. In 2018, President Donald Trump pardoned Libby, restoring his legal standing.
