Sayyid Dynasty
The Sayyid Dynasty was a Muslim dynasty that ruled parts of India from 1414 to 1451. It was founded by Khizr Khan, who was appointed as the governor of Delhi by the Mongol ruler Tamerlane. The dynasty is known for its efforts to stabilize the region after the chaos following Tamerlane's invasions.
The Sayyid rulers faced challenges from rival factions and were often seen as weak. Despite this, they contributed to the cultural and architectural development of Delhi. The dynasty eventually fell to the Lodi Dynasty, which succeeded them and continued the legacy of Muslim rule in India.
