Sax Rohmer
Sax Rohmer was the pen name of Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, an English author born in 1883. He is best known for creating the character Dr. Fu Manchu, a fictional Chinese criminal mastermind who first appeared in the novel "The Mystery of Dr. Fu Manchu" in 1913. Rohmer's works often combined elements of adventure, mystery, and the exotic, reflecting the popular fascination with the East during his time.
Rohmer wrote numerous novels and short stories, with a total of over twenty books featuring Fu Manchu. His writing contributed to the genre of pulp fiction and influenced later portrayals of Asian characters in literature and film. He passed away in 1959, leaving behind a legacy of adventure and intrigue.
