Saturn Corporation
Saturn Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1985 as a subsidiary of General Motors. It was established to create a new line of small cars that would compete with imports, particularly from Japan. Saturn became known for its innovative approach to manufacturing and customer service, emphasizing a no-haggle pricing policy and a unique dealership experience.
The company produced its first vehicle, the Saturn S-Series, in 1990, which gained popularity for its affordability and fuel efficiency. Despite initial success, Saturn struggled with market competition and was eventually discontinued in 2010 as part of General Motors' restructuring efforts following the financial crisis.
