Satanists
Satanists are individuals who follow a belief system that often centers around the figure of Satan as a symbol of personal freedom, individualism, and rebellion against traditional religious norms. Many Satanists do not actually worship Satan as a deity but instead embrace the philosophy of Satanism, which can include elements of atheism, humanism, and self-empowerment.
There are different branches of Satanism, such as LaVeyan Satanism, founded by Anton LaVey in the 1960s, which emphasizes rational self-interest and personal responsibility. Other forms, like Theistic Satanism, involve the worship of Satan as a supernatural being. Overall, Satanists seek to challenge societal norms and promote personal autonomy.
