Sar Mountains
The Sar Mountains are a mountain range located in the western part of the Balkans, primarily spanning across North Macedonia and Kosovo. Known for their stunning natural beauty, the range features diverse landscapes, including rugged peaks, deep valleys, and lush forests. The highest peak, Shar Planina, reaches an elevation of 2,748 meters (9,022 feet).
The Sar Mountains are also rich in biodiversity, home to various plant and animal species. The area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and mountain biking, attracting both locals and tourists. Additionally, the mountains hold cultural significance, with several traditional villages nestled within their slopes.
