Sangguniang Kabataan
The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) is a youth council in the Philippines that aims to promote youth participation in governance and community development. Established by the Republic Act No. 10742, it provides a platform for young people aged 15 to 30 to engage in local decision-making and address issues affecting their communities.
Members of the SK are elected every three years and are responsible for creating programs that cater to the needs of the youth, such as sports, education, and health initiatives. The SK also serves as a bridge between the youth and the local government, ensuring that their voices are heard in the barangay (village) level.
