Sandy Denny
Sandy Denny was an influential English singer-songwriter, known for her distinctive voice and emotive songwriting. Born on January 6, 1947, in London, she gained prominence in the late 1960s as a member of the folk-rock band Fairport Convention. Denny's contributions to the band, particularly her song "Who Knows Where the Time Goes," helped shape the British folk music scene.
After leaving Fairport Convention, Denny pursued a solo career, releasing several albums that showcased her talent. She collaborated with various artists, including Richard Thompson and John Martyn, and her work has continued to inspire musicians long after her untimely death in 1978.
