Sand Boas
Sand Boas are a type of non-venomous snake found primarily in Africa and parts of the Middle East. They belong to the family Boidae and are known for their distinctive, smooth scales and stout bodies. These snakes are well-adapted to their sandy habitats, often burrowing into the ground to escape the heat and hunt for prey.
Typically, Sand Boas are small to medium-sized, with adults averaging between 2 to 4 feet in length. They primarily feed on small mammals and birds, using constriction to subdue their prey. Their coloration often resembles the sandy environments they inhabit, providing effective camouflage against predators.
