San Francisco Solano
San Francisco Solano was a Spanish mission established in 1823 in what is now Sonoma, California. It was the last of the 21 California missions founded by the Spanish. The mission aimed to convert local Native American tribes to Christianity and promote agriculture in the region.
The mission played a significant role in the early development of California, serving as a center for trade and community life. Today, the site is preserved as a historical landmark, showcasing the architecture and artifacts from the mission era, and it attracts visitors interested in California's rich history.
