San Antonio-Class
The San Antonio-Class is a class of amphibious transport dock ships used by the United States Navy. Designed to support Marine Corps operations, these ships can transport and land troops, equipment, and supplies directly onto shore. They are equipped with a well deck for launching and recovering landing craft and can also carry helicopters and tilt-rotor aircraft.
These ships are named after cities in the United States, with the lead ship being the USS San Antonio (LPD-17). The San Antonio-Class enhances the Navy's ability to conduct amphibious warfare and humanitarian missions, providing a versatile platform for various operations.
