Samaritanism
Samaritanism is a religious tradition practiced by the Samaritans, an ancient community that traces its roots to the biblical Israelites. They believe in the same God as Judaism but have their own unique interpretation of the Torah, which they consider the only sacred text. The Samaritan Pentateuch is their version of the Torah, differing in some aspects from the Jewish version.
The Samaritans primarily reside in Nablus and Tel Aviv, Israel, and maintain distinct religious practices, including their own version of the Passover and other festivals. Their beliefs emphasize the importance of the Mount Gerizim, which they regard as the true holy site, contrasting with the Jewish focus on Jerusalem.
