Salto Ángel, also known as Angel Falls, is the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall, located in Venezuela. It has a height of 979 meters (3,212 feet) and drops over the edge of the Auyán-tepui, a flat-topped mountain in the Gran Sabana region. The waterfall is named after Jimmy Angel, an American aviator who was the first to fly over it in 1933.
The water cascades down in several distinct sections, creating a stunning visual spectacle. Salto Ángel is part of the Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is known for its unique landscapes and biodiversity. The falls attract many tourists and adventurers each year.
