Saint Pio of Pietrelcina
Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, commonly known as Padre Pio, was an Italian priest born on May 25, 1887, in Pietrelcina, Italy. He is best known for his deep spirituality, miraculous abilities, and the stigmata, which are wounds resembling those of Jesus Christ. Padre Pio dedicated his life to serving others and became a symbol of faith for many.
He joined the Capuchin Franciscan Order at a young age and was ordained a priest in 1910. Throughout his life, he was known for his confessional ministry, healing miracles, and the ability to read souls. Padre Pio passed away on September 23, 1968, and was canonized as a saint by Pope John Paul II in 2002.
