Saint Perpetua
Saint Perpetua was a Christian martyr from the early 3rd century, known for her courageous stand against Roman persecution. Born into a noble family in Carthage, she was arrested for her faith along with several companions, including her slave, Felicity. Perpetua's writings, particularly her diary, provide a vivid account of her experiences in prison and her unwavering commitment to Christianity.
Her martyrdom occurred around 203 AD, when she was executed in the arena. Saint Perpetua is venerated as a saint in both the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. Her feast day is celebrated on March 7, honoring her legacy of faith and bravery.
