Saint Mark the Evangelist
Saint Mark the Evangelist is one of the four authors of the Gospels in the New Testament. He is traditionally believed to have written the Gospel of Mark, which is the second book of the New Testament and focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Mark is often depicted as a lion, symbolizing courage and strength.
Mark is also recognized as the founder of the Christian community in Alexandria, Egypt, where he served as its first bishop. His feast day is celebrated on April 25. Saint Mark is considered a patron saint of notaries, lawyers, and the city of Venice, where his relics are housed in St. Mark's Basilica.
