Saint John of Kanty
Saint John of Kanty, also known as Saint John Kanty, was a Polish priest and scholar born in 1390 in the town of Kęty. He is best known for his deep faith, humility, and dedication to education. After studying at the University of Kraków, he became a professor and later a parish priest, where he was admired for his kindness and generosity to the poor.
He is celebrated as the patron saint of students and teachers, reflecting his commitment to learning and teaching. Saint John of Kanty died in 1473, and his feast day is observed on December 23. His life continues to inspire many in the fields of education and spirituality.
