Saint John of Capistrano
Saint John of Capistrano was a Franciscan friar born in 1386 in Capistrano, Italy. He is known for his dedication to preaching and reforming the Church during the late Middle Ages. He played a significant role in the Catholic Church and was involved in various missions across Europe, promoting the faith and encouraging religious devotion.
In addition to his preaching, Saint John was also a skilled diplomat and helped to resolve conflicts in Europe. He is often remembered for his efforts to combat the Ottoman Empire during the 15th century. He was canonized as a saint in 1690 and is celebrated on October 23rd.
