Saint Isidore of Seville
Saint Isidore of Seville was a prominent scholar and theologian born around 560 AD in Hispania, now part of modern-day Spain. He became the Archbishop of Seville and is best known for his extensive writings, including the "Etymologiae," an encyclopedic work that compiled knowledge from various fields such as history, science, and theology. His efforts helped preserve classical knowledge during the early Middle Ages.
Isidore was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church and is recognized as a Doctor of the Church. His feast day is celebrated on April 4. He is also the patron saint of the internet and computer users, reflecting his contributions to knowledge and education.
