Saint Henry of Finland
Saint Henry of Finland, also known as Saint Henrik, was a Christian missionary and the patron saint of Finland. He is believed to have arrived in Finland in the 12th century to spread Christianity among the pagan tribes. His efforts contributed significantly to the establishment of the Christian Church in the region.
Henry is often depicted as a bishop and is celebrated for his dedication and martyrdom. According to legend, he was killed by a local chieftain named Lalli after a dispute over the Christian faith. His feast day is observed on January 19, honoring his legacy in Finnish history.
