Saint Gabriel the Archangel
Saint Gabriel the Archangel is one of the principal angels in Christian, Jewish, and Islamic traditions. He is often depicted as a messenger of God, delivering important announcements. In Christianity, he is best known for announcing the birth of Jesus Christ to the Virgin Mary, an event celebrated during the feast of the Annunciation.
In addition to his role in Christianity, Gabriel appears in the Hebrew Bible and the Quran. In the Hebrew tradition, he is seen as a protector of Israel, while in Islam, he is recognized as the angel who revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. Gabriel is often symbolized by a trumpet or a lily.
