Saint Faustina Kowalska
Saint Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun born on August 25, 1905. She is best known for her devotion to Divine Mercy and her role in spreading the message of God's mercy to the world. Faustina reported having visions of Jesus Christ, who instructed her to promote the practice of Divine Mercy devotion, which emphasizes God's forgiveness and love.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in 1926 and dedicated her life to prayer and service. Faustina's diary, titled "Divine Mercy in My Soul," details her spiritual experiences and has become a significant text for many Catholics. She was canonized as a saint by Pope John Paul II in 2000.
