Saint Catherine Labouré
Saint Catherine Labouré was a French nun born on May 2, 1806, in Fain-lès-Montbard. She is best known for her visions of the Virgin Mary, which occurred in 1830 while she was at the Daughters of Charity convent in Paris. These visions inspired the creation of the Miraculous Medal, a religious medal that has become a symbol of faith for many Catholics.
Catherine was canonized as a saint by Pope Pius XII on July 27, 1947. Her feast day is celebrated on November 28. She is remembered for her deep faith and dedication to serving others, particularly the poor and marginalized in society.
