Saint Anna
Saint Anna, also known as Saint Anne, is recognized as the mother of the Virgin Mary and the grandmother of Jesus Christ. She is venerated in various Christian traditions, particularly within the Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Church. Her life is not extensively documented in the Bible, but she is celebrated for her role in the lineage of Jesus.
Saint Anna's feast day is observed on July 26 in the Western Church and on July 25 in the Eastern Church. Many churches and institutions are named in her honor, and she is often depicted in art alongside her daughter, Mary, and her grandson, Jesus.
