Saint Andrew Dung-Lac
Saint Andrew Dung-Lac was a Vietnamese priest and martyr born in 1792. He played a significant role in spreading Christianity in Vietnam during a time of persecution against Christians. Andrew was known for his dedication to his faith and his efforts to support fellow believers.
In 1839, he was arrested and executed for his beliefs, becoming a symbol of courage for Christians in Vietnam. Saint Andrew Dung-Lac was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1988, along with 116 other martyrs, and is celebrated on November 24 each year in the Catholic Church.
